I started painting on canvas then I began using vintage clothing, purses, and wooden boxes.I grab inspiration from my Mexican heritage, empowered women, love of produce, and vintage motifs. My lifestyle and work go hand and hand because of my desire to paint, recycling, and vintage items.I use symbols of Mexican culture, uncomfortableness, self acceptance, and vitality. I used bright colors, Frida Kahlo and food to represent Mexican culture. I was inspired by Frida Kahlo to paint fruit and a self portrait. In my self portrait I used the "unrefined" right eye to portray uncomfortableness and self acceptance.
