My work explores the relationship between Jungian archetypes and recycling culture. With influences as diverse as Kierkegaard and Francis Bacon, new insights are created from both mundane and transcendent discourse. Ever since I was a teenager I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of the zeitgeist. What starts out as triumph soon becomes corroded into a cacophony of futility, leaving only a sense of nihilism and the dawn of new understanding. As momentary phenomena become reconfigured through emergent and personal practice, the viewer is left with a testament to the outposts of our existence.
